Garfield Police Headquarters

May 25, 2018

Beach Electric Company has been subcontracted to complete the electrical scope of work for new construction of the Garfield Police Headquarters, a project the city has been planning for the last eight years.

After months of delays due to relocation of existing utility poles on the property, demolition of the existing headquarters was recently completed and General Contractor, Two Brothers Contracting is in the process of erecting steel.

Plans are currently under review to possibly upgrade the size of electrical service and change the emergency back-up generator from natural gas to diesel.

Beach Electric Co. is subcontracted to relocate the city's 9/11 memorial and add car charges for electric vehicles to meet future requirements.

While the department awaits the reopening of their new HQ on Midland Avenue, they have temporarily relocated to Belmont Avenue.
