American Dream Meadowlands Temporary Power and Underground Utility Relocation Project

Oct 30, 2015

Beach Electric Company, Inc. is currently working at American Dream Meadowlands (formerly Xanadu), the new retail and entertainment complex in East Rutherford, NJ.  Under a contract from B&R Construction Services the work is being performed in two phases.  Phase I includes the removal of existing underground utilities and Phase II involves the installation of temporary power.

During Phase I all medium voltage and 600 volt underground cables will be removed.  Medium voltage switches, transformers and generators have been removed and stored for future reinstallation. Temporary overhead feeders were installed to maintain power throughout the phase.  Underground duct banks are being located and rerouted which will allow for the installation of new footings for the large anchor stores in the complex.  Phase II will include the reinstallation of permanent power cables and stored equipment.  Currently, Phase I is almost complete and work will resume on Phase II in July of 2016.

Beach Electric Company, Inc. would like to thank Dave Vocci, Chuck Britt and Keith Hogge of B&R Construction Services for their continued help and support.
