    This station, originally built in the early 1900’s, serves New Jersey Transit bus and train commuters in Monmouth County. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and as such, all renovations must conform to state regulations. The project required creation of a new canopy to match the one on the original station.

This 2,800 SF addition replaced a section of the facility that had been destroyed by fire.

  • T-MOBILE EMERGENCY BACKUP PROGRAM

    A new 1,200 SF building had been constructed specifically to house the new backup systems. Since all the these units would need to tie-in to the existing system, our work took place both in the new building and the existing office as well as the courtyard connecting the facilities. A 75 kVA transformer with associated power panels, lighting, power, security system, fuel oil controls, lighting protection and a grounding system were all installed in the new structure. The new emergency backup includes two 2-megawatt diesel generators, a 6,000 amp synchronizing switchboard and a 3,000 amp automatic maintenance bypass switch.

    As part of New Jersey's Hyperbuild initiative, the Route 46 Overpeck Creek bridge reconstruction took place in three phases under an accelerated eight month schedule. Using a unique strategy to deliver and remove materials to the job site, RCC finished phases I and II two weeks ahead of schedule resulting in both an early completion bonus and a value engineering adjustment.
