New Elliott Street Elementary School in Newark, NJ

Jan 28, 2016

Beach Electric has just completed work on the Elliott Street Elementary School in the North Ward of Newark, NJ.  This brand new school will house grades Pre-K through eighth with a total enrollment of 450.  This 138,000 SF design / build project was funded by the New Jersey Schools Development Authority and was turned over to the city of Newark in December 2015.

The school contains thirty general use classrooms, four kindergarten classrooms, six pre-kindergarten classrooms, specialized instruction classrooms and labs, a media center, cafeteria, gymnasium and multi-purpose room with stage.  Beach Electric completed a large portion of the work including the installation of temporary and permanent power, electrical distribution equipment, lighting and lighting controls, generator and emergency power distribution and a complete theatrical lighting system in the multi-purpose room.  In addition, low voltage systems including fire alarm, intrusion system, door access control, closed-circuit television, public address system and audio / visual distribution equipment including sound racks and ceiling-mounted projectors have been completed.  Finishing touches will include independent audio and video distribution systems in each classroom.

We would like to thank Mark Hall, Scott Hall, Robert Fucetola and the staff of Hall Construction for their continued help and support.
