Rutgers University Livingston Campus - Tillett Hall Renovation

Oct 17, 2014

Beach Electric Company, Inc. has just completed the renovation of Tillet Hall on Rutgers University’s Livingston Campus.  The $2,400,000 contract, spanning eight months, included electrical demolition and upgrades.

The second floor of Tillet Hall was formerly home to the  Livingston Campus’ Dining Hall and included a kitchen, prep line and serving station. This vacated second floor space was renovated to include 13 classrooms and lecture halls with stadium seating. The reconfigured first floor space added classrooms, computer labs, a renovated post office, student common areas and storage rooms.  Our work included demolition and safing of electrical equipment, installation of temporary power and light, new LED lighting, switching and receptacles, power and electrical systems, wireless access, a new fire alarm system and a pad-mounted emergency generator.

This renovation has added a new, modernized learning center to Rutgers Livingston Campus.
