Beach Electric was awarded a contract from C Erickson & Sons Inc. Construction Company at the T-Mobile site in Wayne N.J. to install a 6,000 Mega Watt Emergency Generator System. The system consisted of installing two 2-Megawatt Diesel Generators and an infrastructure duct bank for one future. A long with the generators a 6,000 Amp Synchronizing Switchboard was installed with two 3,000 Amp Automatic Maintenance Bypass Switches.
A 1,200 Square Foot building and 4,500 Square Foot Courtyard was constructed by Erikson Construction to house the electrical equipment along with the installation of two 75KVA transformers with associated power panels, lighting, general power, power and control for two redundant HVAC systems, Security, Fire Alarm and Fuel Oil control systems along with a lightning protection and ground system.
The project consisted of the installation 19,000 feet of duct bank conduit; 43,000 feet of feeder cable and terminations; 25,000 feet of control; and misc power cable.
