Cutrale Citrus Products is the world’s largest supplier of orange juice with a 60% share of the market. This project expanded their tank farm at Port Newark, NJ, doubling the storage capacity of the facility.

Rutgers University is home to the world’s largest university-based biorepository (the RUCDR). The process of biobanking (cell/DNA storage) extends the viability of genetic materials for research. An upgrade to their already technologically advanced infrastructure would allow the RUCDR to further assist scientists worldwide in their efforts to develop a better understanding of the causes of disease.

W. W. Grainger, Inc., a Fortune 500 company, is one of the largest distributors of industrial supplies and equipment in the world. Beach Electric performed a $1 million upgrade to the conveyor system at their Robbinsville warehouse which would allow the client to increase the speed and efficiency of its order fulfillment.

A new 1,200 SF building had been constructed specifically to house the new backup systems. Since all the these units would need to tie-in to the existing system, our work took place both in the new building and the existing office as well as the courtyard connecting the facilities. A 75 kVA transformer with associated power panels, lighting, power, security system, fuel oil controls, lighting protection and a grounding system were all installed in the new structure. The new emergency backup includes two 2-megawatt diesel generators, a 6,000 amp synchronizing switchboard and a 3,000 amp automatic maintenance bypass switch.

In the low lying hamlet of Keansburg, Beach Electric Co. performed all electric and low-voltage cabling work on the newly constructed Police Headquarters, raising the building above flood level.

EFBS Seafrigo is a French company specializing in transportation, storage and packaging of food imports and exports with warehousing facilities around the world. Beach Electric was contracted to install a full array of electrical systems to this newly constructed 175,000 SF cold storage building.

The new North End Pavilion in Spring Lake, NJ is modeled after its predecessor - a popular beachfront pavilion from the 1930’s. This state-of-the-art facility retains the look (and even some of the original decorative tiles) of the previous building while improving accessibility and adding modern conveniences and amenities

This New Jersey Transit train station connects the Atlantic City Rail Line and the PATCO system. Prior to renovation it was a simple concrete slab. The extensive upgrades included a new enclosed passenger waiting area and an extended platform.

The South Mountain Recreation Complex is a family entertainment center which includes the Turtleback Zoo and the Richard J. Codey Arena featuring two ice rinks, concessions, an arcade and meeting rooms. As part of a major renovation for the Essex County Parks Department, work was performed in three areas: the newly constructed two-story parking garage, the 14,000 SF arena addition and the two NHL-regulation sized ice rinks.

Monmouth Battlefield is a New Jersey State Park commemorating one of the largest battles of the American Revolution, famed for the legend of Molly Pitcher. This new state-of-the-art visitors center showcases the battle with interactive exhibits, maps, uniforms and artifacts.

Underground conduit was run the length of the 140’ long platform. Overhead lighting was installed in the new canopy along with raceways for speakers and surveillance. Ticket vending machines at the depot also received new raceway protection. Temporary power was also provided throughout construction.
